SMS Terms & Conditions
When you opt in to text messages from Angel Oaks Pet Crematory, here's exactly what to expect — what we'll send, how often, how to stop, and what we promise never to do with your number.
Consent & Privacy.
The phone number you provide when you opt in to SMS will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. We don't sell it, rent it, or hand it to advertisers.
Your number is only shared with the SMS gateway provider we use to actually deliver the messages — and only because we have to in order to send the message. That sharing is solely for the purpose of operating the SMS service.
Messages We May Send.
When you opt in, the messages we may send fall into these categories:
- Appointment remindersFriendly reminders about an upcoming cremation, pickup, or aftercare appointment.
- Follow-up messagesBrief check-ins related to a service or arrangement you've already begun with us.
- Billing inquiriesNotes about an open invoice, a payment that didn't go through, or a billing question.
- Service updatesStatus updates on a cremation, an order, or other arrangement you've initiated.
Message Frequency.
We keep it light. Frequency varies depending on what we're communicating about (a pending appointment may get one extra reminder), but you should not expect more than two messages per week.
Up to 2 messages per week. May be slightly more during active service arrangements.
Carrier Fees.
SMS service from Angel Oaks is free, but your mobile carrier may charge you for incoming text messages depending on your plan.
Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. We don't charge for the messages we send, but your carrier may. Domestic and international rates can differ — check your plan for details.
How You Opt In.
You opt in to receive SMS messages from Angel Oaks Pet Crematory by:
- Submitting an online form on our website (such as a contact form or appointment-booking form) where the SMS consent option is checked.
- Providing your number to us in person or over the phone and confirming you'd like SMS updates.
If you don't want to receive text messages, simply don't check the SMS consent box on our forms, or let us know when you call.
STOP & HELP Keywords.
Two words you can text us at any time to opt out or get help.
Reply STOP to any message you receive from us and you'll be unsubscribed immediately. You'll get one confirmation reply, then no more messages. You can also call us anytime to be removed from the list.
Reply HELP to any message and we'll send back our contact information so you can reach a real person. You can also call us directly using the phone number in §8.
