A Message of Love

My sweet Baby Puppy,

Thirteen and a half years ago, a mischievous little black Lab puppy came into our lives and promptly chewed everything in sight. We joked that labs "chew until they're two," but you never outgrew the part that mattered mostβ€”you never stopped loving with your whole heart.

You were my shadow, my protector, my companion, and the best dog I have ever owned. You followed me from room to room, slept by my bed every single night, and somehow always knew when I needed a friend. No matter what was happening in life, I could count on looking down and finding you right beside me.

Even as your body became tired, your spirit never changed. You still wanted your pizzles, your favorite people food, and most importantly, you still wanted to be wherever I was. That was always you. Loyal. Gentle. Faithful. My Baby Puppy.

People say dogs are only with us for part of our lives, but for you, I was your whole life. And what a privilege that has been.

Thank you for every wag, every muddy paw print, every slobbery kiss, every laugh, every comfort, every watchful night, and every quiet moment spent at my feet. Thank you for protecting our family, for loving Aubrey, for being Adam's buddy, and for teaching us what unconditional love truly looks like.

You have carried me through so many years, and now it is my turn to carry you. I promised you from the day I brought you home that I would always take care of you, and I will kept that promise until your very last breath.

Run free, my sweet Baby Puppy. Chase all the balls, chew all the toys, and rest those tired old legs. One day, I hope to see you come running toward me again, healthy and strong, with that happy Lab grin on your face.

Until then, sleep peacefully knowing you were deeply loved every single day of your life.
Forever my Baby Puppy. πŸ–€πŸΎ
