You won’t have to put your suffering pet through the stress of car travel to an unfamiliar clinic. Your dog or cat stays in their favorite spot – maybe that sunny corner by the window or curled up on their favorite blanket.
We come to you with everything needed to provide a gentle, peaceful passing. No rushing. No sterile exam rooms. Just quiet dignity in the place where your pet feels most secure.
The process is gentle and takes only moments. Your pet simply drifts off to sleep, feeling your touch and hearing your voice, exactly as it should be.
Angel Oaks Pet Crematory has been serving Harris County families since 1984. We understand that pets aren’t just animals – they’re family members who deserve dignity and respect in their final moments.
Our two full-time veterinarians have guided thousands of families through this difficult time. We know the Highlands community and the deep bonds between pets and their people here.
We’re the only local service offering walk-in witness cremations seven days a week, and we provide services in both English and Spanish to serve our diverse community.
When you call, we’ll discuss your pet’s condition and answer any questions about timing or the process. We can usually schedule within 24 hours, with emergency availability when needed.
Our veterinarian arrives at your home with all necessary equipment. We’ll take time to meet your pet and explain each step. First, we administer a mild sedative so your pet becomes relaxed and drowsy.
The final injection is given through an IV catheter – it’s simply an overdose of anesthetic. Your pet will peacefully drift off within moments, feeling no pain or distress. You can hold them, talk to them, or simply be present however feels right for your family.

Every at-home euthanasia includes our veterinarian’s travel to your location, a consultation about your pet’s condition, and all medical supplies needed for the procedure. We provide sedation to ensure your pet is comfortable and relaxed.
In Highlands and throughout Harris County, we see many senior pets who struggle with mobility issues or chronic pain. Traveling to a clinic can worsen their discomfort and anxiety. At home, they remain calm and surrounded by familiar scents and sounds.
We offer flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends. Our unique pet portal system allows you to track your pet’s cremation process if you choose our aftercare services, providing transparency during this emotional time.
